Our Story

I'm always searching for new and meaningful ways to challenge myself. This year, I’m running (or towards the end, trying my best to do something that at the very least looks like running) for 24 hours to raise funds for Parkinson’s research. I anticipate that it'll easily be the hardest thing I've ever done, both mentally and physically, and I'm equally excited and nervous to see just what will transpire over the course of the day!

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects movement, coordination, and many aspects of everyday life. It impacts millions of individuals and families around the world, including my own. My grandmother lives with Parkinson’s, and watching the determination it takes to face this disease every day has motivated me to contribute in the best way that I know how - by running.

This run is about perseverance and purpose, turning an otherwise meaningless personal challenge into something so much larger than myself. Research is what moves us forward, and the funds raised through this effort will help support the scientists and clinicians working to improve the lives of those affected.
